Tottenham Hotspur face a must-win Champions League clash against PSV Eindhoven at Wembley on Tuesday night, and Mauricio Pochettino is expected to make six changes to the starting XI.

Spurs came through a tough test against Wolves at the weekend as they ran out 3-2 winners following a spirited comeback from the newly-promoted side, with Harry Kane, Lucas Moura, and Erik Lamela on the scoresheet.

Pochettino’s side must win against PSV to stand any chance of progressing to the knockout stages after two losses and a draw so far, while they must also hope for Barcelona to beat Inter Milan.

In goal, Paulo Gazzaniga is expected to come in for the suspended Hugo Lloris.

In defence it is expected that Serge Aurier will come in for £40,000-a-week mainstay Kieran Trippier [Spotrac] at right-back while Davinson Sanchez will replace Juan Foyth in the centre alongside Toby Alderweireld, who keeps his place, with Ben Davies on the left.

In midfield, an injury to Mousa Dembele is expected to see Victor Wanyama come into the side, with Harry Winks set for another start alongside him.

Christian Eriksen is also expected to return to the starting lineup in place of Erik Lamela, who will need a rest after playing 90 minutes on Saturday, while Dele Alli is likely to do the same in place of Moussa Sissoko. This all-important attacking duo are key to Spurs’ hopes not just in this game, but across the whole season.

Lucas Moura is expected to keep his place on the flank, with Harry Kane ready to lead the line as normal.
