Tottenham have been handed a major boost for their Champions League clash against PSV Eindhoven with Dele Alli set to be available after he was sighted taking part in training, according to the Last Word on Spurs and Hayters TV.

The Twitter account, who have an established reputation of being a reliable source of information surrounding the north London outfit, claim that the 22-year-old will be fit enough for the visit of the Dutch side, after the media picked up on his absence at the open training session on Monday.

However, Hayters TV have significantly captured the midfielder, who was completely absent for the club’s Premier League win over Wolves on Saturday, taking part in exercises away from the main group in what will be a major boost to the Lilywhites as they look for their first win in Europe this season.

Opinion

This is absolutely massive for Tottenham in what many will have deemed a must win clash to have any hope of qualifying for the knock out stages of the Champions League. On his day, Alli is a game changer, and having made his comeback from injury in the League Cup win over West Ham there would have been serious worries when he was absent against Wolves – which would not have been helped by the reports picking up that he was missing from group training. However, it seems as though he is simply on a different schedule to the rest of his teammates and will still be able to feature against PSV, who managed to hold Spurs to a draw in their visit to the Netherlands a couple of weeks ago. Alli missed out with his hamstring injury for that tie but it seems Mauricio Pochettino will be able to call on him to sink the Dutch heavyweights and ignite their European campaign – but will it be a case of too little, too late?
