Liverpool have been brilliant this season and under Jurgen Klopp they seem to have sorted out their defensive frailties.

The only problem is that with it they seem to have lost something from their normally free-flowing attack, scoring six goals less than Chelsea and 12 less than league leaders Man City this season.

Mohamed Salah hasn’t hit the sort of form he did last season although he’s starting to show signs that he’s getting there.

The real problem at the moment is Roberto Firmino.

He hasn’t provided a goal or an assist in the last six Premier League games and although his game is much more than that, it’s a real worry.

That’s why for tomorrow night’s game against Red Star, Klopp must drop the forward and bring in Daniel Sturridge for a rare start.

Breaking up the Liverpool power three might seem like a weird move but Sturridge scored a crucial goal against PSG in the opening Champions League game and has played well whenever he’s been called on this season.

Elsewhere, the team should be the same as the one that drew with Arsenal, with Dejan Lovren still out injured and Xherdan Shaqiri left behind for personal reasons.
