A section of Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter urging the club to recall Harry Wilson in the January window and sell Adam Lallana.
Wide forward Wilson has delivered a series of eyecatching performances in recent months, scoring four times for loan club Derby County as well as for the Wales national side.
Many Liverpool supporters would love to see Wilson back at Anfield in the winter window, with comments including “he could defo do more than Lallana does”.

Wilson is starting to make a name for himself for country as well as his loan clubs. The 21-year-old wide forward has added to his growing catalogue of goals with a few wonder strikes this season and his star is on the rise as he makes a big impression at Derby following a successful spell at Hull City in the second half of last season. But supporters calling for him to be recalled from his loan at second-tier outfit Derby are getting carried away. Wilson’s development would be far better served playing regularly in the English second tier, as he has been, rather than sitting on the sidelines at Anfield. There is no way he is going to displace the forwards currently in the Liverpool team, even if Sadio Mane was abject in the second half in Belgrade and Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah fared little better. Is Wilson better than Xherdan Shaqiri? No. Daniel Sturridge? No. Lallana, the player fans seemingly want binned for good? No, not yet. The youngster has huge potential but he is better off learning his trade under Frank Lampard than twiddling his thumbs at Liverpool.
