Juventus are eyeing a move for Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen if they do not land first choice Paul Pogba from Manchester United, according to Tutto Sport.

The Italian outlet reports on their website that Eriksen is amongst three top targets for the Old Lady, with the targets also including Paris Saint-Germain player Adrien Rabiot and Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey.

The report adds that if a move for the unsettled Pogba does not go through, then they will turn to Eriksen – who is currently on £75,000-a-week [Spotrac] in North London – whose contract expires in 2020.

Good move for Tottenham?

Overall, no it would not be a good move for Tottenham to let one of their star assets leave. He was in mouthwatering form last season, so the club would be mad to let him go. Yes, admittedly he is not in the greatest of form this time around, but one thing is for sure – Spurs would seriously regret it if he ended up joining a team like Juventus. He can still play a crucial part in Tottenham’s season, but he must get his head into gear.

Likely to happen?

There is the slight chance it would happen, seeming as Eriksen is not at his best this season. However, considering that Mauricio Pochettino did not sign anyone in the last transfer window, the likelihood of him letting go of Eriksen remains very slim unless they were hit with an irresistable offer. However, there is no need for Tottenham fans to fret, as the report states that the Denmark international is their second choice behind Pogba.
