OPINION
A section of Everton fans have been in meltdown on Twitter after seeing a report by the Liverpool Echo which claimed that the club is in the hunt to sign Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele. It is understood that the France international could cost the Toffees £40million if they wanted to sign him, and some fans on social media are absolutely loving the idea of potentially adding him to the side next year. It is not a surprise to see this kind of reaction. Ndombele is one of the best up and coming young players in France and the 21-year-old is bound to play for a top European club in the future. He was part of the Lyon side that schooled Everton in the Europa League last season and he has since continued his fine form in Ligue 1. Everton’s midfield was be a class above if he was added to the likes of Andre Gomes and even though one fan claims that the Toffees might have to spend £130million to sign Ndombele, Gomes and Kurt Zouma permanently, it looks as though it would be a very worthwhile investment by the Merseyside club.
