A section of West Brom fans were left drooling over Harvey Barnes after the Leicester loanee scored a wondergoal in the 2-2 draw with Sheffield Wednesday on Wednesday night.
Albion were two goals down with four minutes left of normal time but a quickfire double in the final stages saw Albion come from behind to rescue a point at Hillsborough.
Barnes, 20, was involved in Joey Pelupessy’s own goal before scoring a Lionel Messi-esque goal of his own after he carried the ball from his own half to find the back of the net.
Some Baggies fans were stunned by his amazing display, with one saying that he is “unreal”.

OPINION
How on earth are West Brom going to stop Leicester from recalling Barnes in January because this kid is on fire right now. Albion fans should try to be a bit more discreet about his form to stop Leicester’s supporters from urging Claude Puel to tear up his loan deal in the winter transfer window, but it is so hard to do that when the 20-year-old is doing things like this. Barnes only scores wondergoals. He is having a goal of the season competition with himself at the moment having also scored beauties against Bolton and Norwich. This one at Hillsborough was on another level though and if Messi had done that for Barcelona, you would see it on every media outlet around the world. Barnes is Albion’s most technically gifted player since Jason Koumas and it is so bittersweet to know that he will leave The Hawthorns in 2019.
