Eros Grezda has hardly been seen at Ibrox since signing from Ozijek at the end of August for £1.8million but the attacker played 45 minutes for his country yesterday and some fans are cautiously excited.
Grezda arrived at Ibrox with an injury and has only played a total of 53 minutes for his new side, across two cameos, one in the Premiership and one in the cup.
He started for Albania in their international friendly yesterday and managed 45 minutes before being subbed off.
However, one Albanian fan said he wasn’t looking the same after his injury, although he seemed to grow into the game as he found his feet.
One Rangers fan said he would get “bums off seats” when he was fully fit and another said he looked “really exciting”.
Here are the best reactions to his display for Albania:
Grezda isn't looking the same atm, that injury really did a number on him

This has to be a concern for Rangers, we have a busy schedule coming up and need to rotate the squad. Grezda hasn’t featured much and Middleton still very raw (despite his undoubted potential) leaves us light in numbers out wide. Someone wrap Kent and Candeias up in bubble wrap! https://t.co/adcIgTU8zL

Ah I see then… Must say his finishing was not good at the start of the game and he looked a bit lost early on (as to be expected) but he did grow into the game pretty nicely, making good runs and his dribbling was crisp. Can play anywhere along the front 3 which is a plus

He'll get bums off seats when fully fit ?

Played up front, made plenty runs and looks to beat his man and create. Will do well for us when he’s up to speed. ??

I think he looks really exciting, turned it over at half time and he got subbed!

OPINION
Things haven’t got to plan for Grezda since his move from Ozijek – he arrived with an injury and has really struggled to make an impact since. Steven Gerrard was expecting big things from him as well, and the news that he started for Albania will be a boost as they struggle for attacking options in the Scottish Cup semi-final, with Alfredo Morelos suspended. Grezda played through the middle yesterday and although he had a slow start, he grew into the game and started looking more like the player that Gerrard saw such promise in. When he signed Gerrard said that fans would love him and that he was an “excellent” player. Most fans have probably forgotten about him now, such has been his start this season, but he could be like a new signing when he gets himself fully fit. That might not be too far away by the looks of things.
