A section of Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to hail Danny Rose after his performance in Saturday’s 1-0 Premier League win against Cardiff City.
Rose played 88 minutes of the clash at Wembley as an early Eric Dier goal was enough to secure the three points for the north Londoners at Wembley.
Many Spurs supporters were delighted by the England international’s display, with comments including “fantastic” and “back to his marauding best”.

COMMENTARY:
There was little in the way of excitement or fluent attacking play from Tottenham in another scratchy performance that summed up their first two months of the season very well. Mauricio Pochettino’s side did just about enough against a middling opponent, but failed to make the pulse race or get fans out of their seats. That said, Spurs have 18 points from eight matches and are only a point adrift of Liverpool and Manchester City, who go head to head later today (Sunday). At least, Rose is continuing his renaissance. The dynamic left-back appeared on his way over the summer, even up until the loan window shut on 31 August, but he is back on board and in favour. The 28-year-old has started Spurs’ last four league matches and is assuming first choice status again after a year-and-a-half of injured, mixed form and playing second fiddle to Ben Davies. Fans regard his performance against Cardiff as one of the few shining lights.

Spurs didn’t “sign” anyone in the summer but we did get Toby, Rose and Winks back which in itself if 3 major signings ?

Winks was fantastic today and so was Rose. No one else really stood out for me. #COYS

So happy for Danny Rose, he's finally getting back to his marauding best.
Injuries can take up to 18 months to fully recover and it's obviously taken him a long time to get back to the player we enjoyed watching back in the 15-17 seasons.
He was brilliant yesterday.#COYS

Scouting notes: there’s a clear difference in ability/quality btween rose & Davies, having sissoko on the pitch u might as well play with 10 men & England midfield should be built around winks. Sean Morrison had a great game #totcar

Agree re Sanchez/Dier, Rose also looking positive & direct but I was disappointed with Winks. Such a skilful, clever player but was too slow & indecisive for me. Massive opportunity with Eriksen, Dele, Mousa out. Must step up. Lastly, thank God for Toby #COYS
