OPINION

Tottenham are the victims of an unfortunate fixture pile-up at the moment with a Carabao Cup tie against West Ham coming hot on the heels of a gruelling 1-0 defeat against league leaders Man City.

However, a number of factors have fallen into place and it means that Poch can make seven changes from the team that played on Monday and still have a side that can destroy West Ham.

Tottenham need a trophy and Poch knows this is his best shot this season and with none of Christian Eriksen, Heung-Min Son or Dele Alli starting on Monday, they can get much-needed minutes tonight.

Lucas Moura must lead the line with Harry Kane in desperate need of a rest and Fernando Llorente just not up to the job.

£25k-a-week man Harry Winks made a huge impact when he came on against Man City and he can link defence and attack, alongside Eric Dier in the midfield.

With Danny Rose still out, Ben Davies must be called on again, with speed machine Serge Aurier coming in for Kieran Trippier.

Winks and Aurier are the two players who can make the real difference on Wednesday night, providing everything the attacking players need to dismantle West Ham.

Paulo Gazzaniga can be trusted with the gloves to give Hugo Lloris a rest.

Here is the team that will swat West Ham away on Wednesday night:
