Tottenham Hotspur welcome European giants Barcelona to Wembley on Wednesday as they look to get their Champions League campaign up and running, and Mauricio Pochettino must make four key changes to his starting XI.

Spurs lost their first game in the competition this season against Inter Milan despite taking the lead at the San Siro, with two late goals from the Serie A side condemning them to a heartbreaking loss.

Pochettino’s men have got back on track in the Premier League recently however, and will carry the momentum of two wins on the trot into Wednesday’s clash.

In goal, he must restore captain Hugo Lloris providing he is fit after injury, with Paulo Gazzaniga dropping out.

In defence, a back four of Kieran Trippier, Toby Alderweireld, Davinson Sanchez and Danny Rose must start, with Jan Vertonghen dropping out after he sustained a minor injury at the weekend.

Another injury to Mousa Dembele means another change must come in midfield, with Eric Dier to be joined by Harry Winks in a holding duo.

In attack, Lucas Moura and red-hot Pochettino favourite Erik Lamela must be chosen on the wings, with Christian Eriksen occupying the playmaker role if he is fit after injury. That sees Son Heung-min axed from the starting XI.

Harry Kane must lead the line as normal after his two goals at the weekend.

This is a Tottenham XI which could easily continue to pile misery on Barcelona after the Catalan giants lost to Leganes before salvaging a draw with Athletic Bilbao at the weekend.
