Leeds took on Hull City tonight at the KCOM Stadium, looking for their first league win in three games, and fans were not impressed by what they saw from defender Luke Ayling.

It’s been another first start to the Championship from Leeds but they’re in danger of falling away at the moment.

They’ve only won one game in the last six across all competitions and haven’t won in the Championship since the 3-0 victory against Preston in mid-September.

They’ve been playing well and dominating games but the final third has been missing – something that’s coincided with injuries to key players – and fans were moaning about Ayling at right-back specifically tonight.

One fan said he’s been off it for weeks now and another said he’s lost the ball every time he got it tonight.

That might be a bit harsh but not as harsh as one fan who just said his recent displays have been “garbage”.

Here are the best reactions from Leeds fans to his first 45 minutes:

OPINION

Leeds have dominated the early parts of this game but Hull have grew into it and Marcelo Bielsa’s men have been unable to break them down. That’s the story of Leeds at the moment and they really seem to be missing Pablo Hernandez and Kemar Roofe. The bad news is that they’re going to have to do without them for Saturday’s game as well with a return not predicted until after the international break. It’s a real problem at the moment. Bielsa’s conundrum will be how to turn periods of absolute domination into goals. In the first 45 they seemed flat and completely lacking in confidence around Hull’s penalty area. Saying that, Leeds are still absolutely dominating possession and fans will be hoping they’ll be able to create a chance and convert it in the second-half. They need it, with title rivals Middlesbrough winning 2-0 at Ipswich and table-toppers West Brom playing tomorrow.
