OPINION

It is clear that Darren Moore is desperate to plug a few obvious holes in his squad, and he is obviously hoping that Martin will help him address his defensive problems. The 32-year-old does has vast experience in the Championship – 144 games in the division to be exact – so you can see where the idea has come from. His spell in the Premier League with the Canaries is another aspect in his favour, with the centre-back being a mainstay for the club during their time in the top-flight. However, experience is all well and good, but Martin’s recent form suggests this could be a mistake from Moore, as suggested by many of these fans. His most recent spell at Rangers was hugely unsuccessful, and it looks like Martin’s career is coming to an end. Much like the signing of Tyrone Mears, this could be desperate attempt from Moore that will not go down well with fans. These supporters certainly seem far from keen, and it will be interesting to see what happens over the coming days with regards to Martin.
