Rangers got their Scottish Premiership campaign back on track with an emphatic 4-0 win over Dundee at Ibrox on Sunday, and many fans have taken to Twitter to drool over Andy Halliday’s performance.

Goals from Lassana Coulibaly, Ryan Kent, James Tavernier and Glenn Middleton secured a big win for Steven Gerrard after the international break, and Rangers will head into their Europa League opener on Thursday full of confidence.

Many fans on Twitter have been raving about Halliday’s display in the middle of the park for the Gers, with the 26-year-old continuing his impressive resurgence under Gerrard.

OPINION

These Rangers fans seem seriously impressed with another brilliant performance from Halliday, and you can see why. The 26-year-old was everywhere in midfield for the Light Blues, and really took the game by the scruff of the neck in the centre of the park. His passing was on point all day long, and his understanding with Scott Arfield looks to be growing. To think that this is a player who came in for such heavy criticism for the majority of last season is amazing, and as many fans point out, there is no one more deserving of this praise than Halliday. He has obviously worked his socks off over the summer to impress Gerrard and has been rewarded with a regular place in the starting lineup. Furthermore, he is a player who quite obviously loves the club and that is always a bonus. Hopefully he can keep this up and continue to be a key player for the Gers throughout the season.
