Tottenham Hotspur have been given rave reviews by their scouts on Genao striker Krzysztof Piatek, according to TEAMtalk

The football news outlet report that Tottenham representatives were in attendance during Lazio v Genoa to watch midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, and ended up returning in midweek to watch Piatek after being blown away by the Poland international.

TEAMtalk claim that Genoa rate Piatek around £30million after paying just £4million to sign him from Cracovia, with Liverpool and Manchester City also scouting the 23-year-old.

Good move for Tottenham Hotspur?

Yes.

Piatek has certainly impressed for Genoa this season so far since his move from Polish side Cracovia, becoming the first player in Europe’s top five leagues to reach double figures in all competitions.

Six goals in five Serie A games illustrates his instant impact, and should this form continue then there is no doubt he will be at a top club very soon.

Tottenham are well known to need a striker to provide support for Harry Kane, and the 6ft Piatek looks to be a good candidate.

Likely to happen?

It is unlikely that Piatek will move anywhere in January after only moving to Italy this summer, but a move at the end of the season is most certainly not out of the question.

Genoa’s valuation of £30million does look slightly premature considering how early it is in the season, but should this form continue then that looks to be a good price for Spurs to pay.
