Fulham drew 1-1 at home to high-flying Watford at Craven Cottage today, and fans flocked onto Twitter to destroy centre-back Alfie Mawson.
The 24-year-old joined from Swansea in a £15million deal over the summer, but he looked hopelessly out of place today and picked up a yellow card in the first 45 minutes.
In fact he played so badly that he was hooked at half-time, much to the relief of the home fans.
Here are the best reactions to the shocker from Mawson:
Makes sense. Mawson was terrible and on a yellow and we need to take more risks going forward

Chambers looks a different player without Mawson next to him.
Vietto poor decision making/quality on the ball. Too many silly flicks

Odoi already done better than Mawson within 3 minutes. Also Sess been by far the best of the back four. Big half.

Mawson off literally anyone on.

Struggling to believe that Mawson and Chambers have played football before

Mawson's having a shocker and needs to calm down.
The midfield has done nothing, and need someone with energy in there to help press and provide Seri with the ball.
Defensively worrying once again.
Good save by Betts to keep us in it. #FFC

OPINION
On this evidence, Fulham fans have got every right to ask just what they paid £15million for in the summer. It’s only his third appearance after missing the start of the season through injury, however, and you can only imagine there will be better to come from the 24-year-old. Fulham were better without him today though, and Calum Chambers also improved once Mawson was hooked off. It’s not the start that he would be looking for at his new club and he’s going to have some work to do to get the fans back on side after today’s debacle.
