If DCL is injured, I’d love to see Fraser Hornby be given an opportunity to come into the first team squad for Sunday. Only 18 but his confidence is sky high right now. Could be a breakthrough talent. https://t.co/q18vb3oMDj

Great to see @fraser_hornby scoring goals on international duty – be great to see him given a chance this season! Huge potential! #EFC

Given the EFC injury crisis (after 4 games!), may be time for Fraser Hornby to get on the bench while his confidence is sky-high!

OPINION
It is no surprise that these fans are raving about another brilliant performance from Hornby. The 18-year-old striker looks to be in some serious form, with five goals in two games for the Under-21s underlining that. The first of his two goals against the Netherlands was a brilliantly taken lob after the goalkeeper was caught in no mans land, and the second was a solid penalty to seal the three points. What is interesting about Hornby is that he was actually developed as a midfielder for several years before being converted to a striker, and that may set him apart from the other forwards his age. Considering the fact that Everton have around ten first-team squad members injured for their clash with West Ham this weekend, it is also hardly surprising to see some fans calling for his involvement. It certainly isn’t out of the question, and it certainly would not be undeserved.
