Opinion

The Leeds fans are loving the fact that Nicell has become the latest young talent to commit to new terms at the club, and they obviously rate him as highly as the club do judging by their comments. Those who do not keep an eye on the reserve sides might not know much about him, but the fact he has already been given a taste of two first team match day squads prove he is one tipped for great things. It cannot be ignored that Leeds are bringing through some seriously exciting youngsters through their system and into the first team, but that could prove to be a double edged sword if they do not push on for a return to the Premier League. Bigger clubs, as has been the case in the past, will be keeping an eye on those who are coming through Leeds’ academy, and Nicell is the latest in a long line of future stars. Getting him tied down is important for them if they want to keep a hold of exciting youngsters.
