Some Swansea City fans destroyed midfielder Tom Carroll after witnessing his performance against Birmingham City on Friday night.
The Swans drew 0-0 with Garry Monk’s side when the two met in the Championship on Friday and supporters of the Welsh side were very unhappy with one of their player’s display in particular.
Several fans opted to slam Carroll for his latest outing with one even accusing the midfielder of costing in the game as he knew his position was save due to the lack of options the club have.

I ask myself every game, what exact does Tom Carroll bring. Total non entity, misplaced passes and so weak in the tackle. He knows we are short on players and is coasting

Can’t believe we’re still level, we need Leroy Fer in the second half big time, Tom Carroll is useless in a physical encounter. #Swans

Tonight we saw the Tom Carroll of the last few seasons…surely the clubs hierarchy can see he simply isn’t good enough to play at this level. No pace, no physicality and his ball playing skills are a myth #Swans

OPINION
When you consider Carroll rakes in an impressive £35,000-a-week at the Liberty Stadium (Source: Spotrac) you have to wonder whether the Swans are getting anything back for their money especially after his latest display. The 26-year-old midfielder previously played 94 times in the Premier League yet in the Championship, he simply looks not good enough to feature. Every time Carroll seem to find the ball at his feet against Birmingham City, it would only be moments later when the opposition would then find themselves with the ball instead. As one fan beautifully tweeted it was basically pass, pass, pass until Carroll would get the ball as he would then proceed to lose it. The central midfielder should up his game shortly if he wants to be a first-team regular at the club as surely Graham Potter is considering axing him. With the loan window still open it wouldn’t be a surprise if a new midfielder is simply brought into the club to ensure that Carroll doesn’t have to be relied upon.
