Brilliant performance imo. Halliday was great, but Tav going forward, Morelos, Arfield and Wes were outstanding.

COMMENTARY:
With his lifelong affiliation to Rangers as a boyhood fan, followers of the club love to see Glasgow-bornHalliday perform well and he has not disappointed in the last two matches, delivering the goods at left-back against Maribor on Thursday and then in central midfield against Killie today. Given that the Light Blues had been in action less than 72 hours earlier, the League Cup tie was a potential banana skin but they coped well to continue their fine start to the campaign. Gerrard has spoken of the need to have a big squad, especially as it looks likely the club will be playing twice a week all the way up to Christmas. Halliday may not catch the eye with dazzling tricks but he is a solid performer and a vital squad player, something Gerrard has spoken of as being key in the coming weeks. It should also be pointed out that his fine displays in the last four days have both come away from home in tricky assignments. Little wonder there is so much social media love today.
