Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to drool over Alisson’s first-half display in their pre-season friendly against Napoli on Saturday evening.
Jurgen Klopp’s side were 2-0 ahead at the break after goals from James Milner and Georginio Wijnaldum helped break the deadlock at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.
But it was the performance of debutant Alisson that was the main talking point on social media and supporters were in thrall to the new boy.

Alisson’s distribution is second to none. Absolute wand of a right peg.
Few question marks over him rushing out but that’ll sort itself out over time.
Ps Naby Keita is an absolute gem of a footballer

COMMENTARY:
Alisson was always going to be the main talking point after Liverpool paid a world-record goalkeeper fee for him last month worth £67million in total. This was his first appearance for the club after a delayed return following his World Cup duty but it is safe to say he has made a strong early impression. The 25-year-old looked particularly comfortable with his distribution, with one raking pass from his own box to the opposition half sending Twitter into a near meltdown. Liverpool fans are hugely excited by the potential of the new boy, who will surely start their Premier League opener next weekend ahead of senior men Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet, who both appear to have lost the confidence of Klopp. The club have been crying out for a top-ranking keeper for so long, and the early signs are they have got the real deal.
