Wolves want to wrap up two more signings before the transfer window slams shut at 5pm on Thursday, and are set to hold talks with Manchester City player Oleksandr Zinchenko today (Wednesday), according to the Express & Star.

The newspaper claims on their website that Wanderers have agreed a deal in principle to sign Zinchenko, 21, from the Premier League champions, but are having to try and convince the versatile Ukraine international to head to Molineux over the next 24 hours.

It is understood that Wolves are also close to signing Middlesbrough winger Adama Traore after he underwent a medical with the West Midlands club, and are hoping that they can seal one more deal on top of that one.

Good move for Wolves?

Zinchenko was not exactly convincing in his few appearances for Manchester City last season.

Pep Guardiola played the 21-year-old as a left-back, even though for most of his career he has been an attacking midfielder or a left-winger.

However just because he did not shine for Man City, doesn’t mean that he won’t for Wolves and he could be a very clever addition to the squad if Nuno Espirito Santo is able to lure him to the Midlands.

Likely to happen?

Judging by this report, it seems as though Zinchenko is not entirely convinced that a move to Wolves is right for him.

Manchester City look as though they are happy with cashing on the young Ukrainian, but talks will have to be positive on Wednesday for this deal to come close to fruition.

There is not long left to go until the transfer window slams shut.
