A section of West Brom fans have taken to Twitter to slam Chris Brunt for his performance in the 7-1 hammering of QPR at The Hawthorns on Saturday.
Brunt, 33, lasted 73 minutes playing in the centre of the midfield before he was replaced with Gareth Barry and even though the Baggies stormed to their biggest league win in over 10 years, the Northern Ireland international was roundly criticised by some supporters.
One even claimed that Brunt would end up getting Darren Moore the sack if he is continues to keep his place in the side.
This is FutbolĀ has rounded up some of the best tweets:
Poor Defense from #wba but improving, concerned about Brunt as a CM but we attached with pace and direction. Formation could be key!! QPR in trouble

Livermore was superb for me today. In the 1st half doing the work of 2men because Brunt was so poor.
2nd half he was powering into tackles. Screening defence well but wasn't afraid to get up the pitch too. Very energetic performance from him allowing Barnes more freedom. ?#wba— Adam (@A_Kemo26) August 18, 2018
Brunt is struggling in cm once again so far. Need someone with legs in there #wba

it doesn't matter if its a game or a season. I can guarentee you've left a game at some point and questioned a decision or a tactic. for me brunt should be dropped. But im not moaning too much as we're third. If we were in stokes position i think there'd be more vocal people.

OPINION
West Brom win 7-1 and yet there are still fans picking faults. Brunt wasn’t as terrible as some fans are making out. He gave away one or two daft fouls but his passing definitely improved, especially in the second half as the Baggies ran QPR ragged. After a win like that, fans should just be over the moon with how the team played overall rather than picking out faults. Matt Phillips, Harvey Barnes, Kieran Gibbs and Dwight Gayle were simply fantastic and people should be focusing their attention on raving about them rather than ridiculous claims like Brunt will end up getting Moore sacked. Negativity is an addiction for some fans, and that was proved when there were a smattering of boos for Barry when he came on to replace Brunt. It needs to stop because not only is it embarrassing it is also tarnished what was the best win the club has had in over a decade.
