With one week remaining until the closure of the transfer window, Wolves must act quickly if they are to complete the signing of Senegalese midfielder Badou Ndiaye.

The Championship winners have made just three summer signings and the central midfield position is an important area the club need to strengthen, with Ndiaye being an ideal type of player according to reliable journalist Tim Spiers.

The 27-year-old is currently at Championship club Stoke City and should be tempted with a move to the Premier League new boys.

The Sun claimed on their website that the central midfielder is also attracting interest from Everton who are looking for a midfield partner to link up with Idrissa Gueye.

Ndiaye could not save the Potters from relegation but did stand out as one of their better players last season, and played for Senegal in the World Cup finals.

Apart from the experienced Joao Moutinho, Wolves have yet to sign a strong central midfielder who has featured in the English top flight and should think wisely about snapping up the Senegal international.

Ndiaye only arrived at Stoke in January after joining from Turkish side Galatasaray for £14 million but with the ambition that the Wanderers are showing after spending big in the transfer market, it may be a decision too difficult to turn down.

After such a dreadful campaign last season, the 27-year-old may fancy his chances of playing alongside a quality midfield boasting international experience.

Ndiaye only began to follow his footballing dream at the age of 20, despite studying for a degree in law, by flying to Norway to pursue his dream of becoming a professional.

After coming through the ranks, the African should certainly not pass up on the opportunity of playing in the Premier League and featuring for a Wolves side that are expected to do big things in the upcoming years.
