Youthful Tottenham stars Oliver Skipp, Luke Amos and Timothy Eyoma have agreed the terms of new contracts with the club, it has been announced.

Spurs revealed on their official Twitter account on Wednesday morning that central midfielder pair Skipp and Amos, and centre-back Eyoma have committed to deals that run until 2021.

Amos, 21, is the only one of the trio who has played for the first team after making his debut against Newcastle United earlier this season.

OPINION

Amos is the most advanced in his progress of the trio after being handed his debut as a late substitute in Spurs’ first match of the campaign and also making the bench for Monday’s win at Manchester United, but he is something of a late bloomer and there is a sense he could develop into a seriously good central midfielder after spending the last two years on loan in the Football League. Aged 17, Skipp is four years younger but has already caught the eye of Mauricio Pochettino with his energetic and classy central midfield displays and there are suggestions he could progress into the first team this season. Eyoma, 18, figured in pre-season and partnered Davinson Sanchez against AC Milan, but he is currently behind the other two in his development. Spurs are particularly well stocked in the young defender’s main position, but he has the advantage of being able to fill in at right-back and that versatility could prove mighty useful in the future.
