Liverpool won their final pre-season friendly ahead of the Premier League starting this weekend, beating Torino 3-1.
Liverpool fans have been very happy with their summer preparations and were thrilled again tonight by their side’s attacking prowess, but many had concerns about Alberto Moreno.
Moreno was partly to blame for the Torino goal, not doing enough to stop a cross coming in.
And one fan wondered why he had started tonight instead of Andrew Robertson, seeing as it was the last game before the Premier League started.
He hoped it wasn’t indicative of Jurgen Klopp’s intended starting XI for the West Ham game on Sunday.
Other fans were slightly less complimentary about Moreno, who was replaced by Robertson in the second half.

OPINION
Moreno always gets a hard time from Liverpool fans but he was partly to blame for the Torino goal tonight. However, Naby Keita was equally to blame but got away pretty much scot-free. That’s your lot as a defender, although there’s a lot of proof that Moreno is much better at going forward than he is at staying solid at the back. One Liverpool fan was worried that his presence tonight meant he’d be starting against West Ham on Sunday, but unless there’s a problem with Robertson, we can’t see that happening. Moreno is a cup player for Liverpool and provides cover if there are any issues. He’s not going to be a regular starter in the Premier League.
