Aston Villa are close to a deal with Everton winger Yannick Bolasie but there is no rush to get a deal over the line before Saturday’s game with Reading due to his fitness, according to journalist Alan Nixon.

The Sun reporter claims on his personal Twitter account that the Villans are in the process of getting a loan move over the line but that the wait has been because the club are not desperately seeking his capture.

It is stated that the £75,000-a-week forward (Source: Spotrac) is not yet fully fit after being left out by Everton boss Marco Silva in the opening games of the Premier League season, and that the match against the Royals would come too soon.

Opinion

At leas the delay is nothing more than the Villa transfer team taking things easy, although you can be sure the fans are urging their side to get a deal done sooner rather than later. There is no point rushing through negotiations if the player in question is not ready to play and by taking their time Villa can make sure they get a deal which is right for them, rather than feeling pressured to get his signature over the line in a bid to have him playing immediately. When Bolasie is up and running in the Villans’ first team, he will be a massive asset and a threat to any and all Championship sides with his experience and quality of both the second tier as well as the Premier League. However, it appears as though the Villa Park faithful will have to show some patience, for he might not be ready to play intil after the international break.
