West Ham are edging close to signing Arsenal forward Lucas Perez after he agreed a three-year deal with the Hammers with the option of an extra year, according to ESPN reporter Eduardo Fdez-Abascal.
The reliable journalist claimed on his personal Twitter account that West Ham are paying £5million for Perez, 29, and as long as there are no hitches, he will undergo a medical with the big-spenders within the coming hours.

With Perez’s deal all but done, it will bring to an end a disappointing spell at Arsenal, where he made just 21 appearances across all competitions in two years.
Good move for West Ham?
Signing Perez is certainly a decent move by Manuel Pellegrini.
It bolsters his strike force without breaking the bank and he is getting someone who has not really had the chance to shine in the Premier League at Arsenal.
In 2016/17, the Spaniard made just two starts in the Premier League even though the season before he was on fire for Deportivo by scoring 17 goals in La Liga.
If he can recapture that form at the London Stadium, he will be a nice cheap buy for the club.

West Ham have done their business well and without a hitch for most of the summer, so it is very likely that Perez will be their latest addition very soon.
His medical should be no issue and the Hammers could have themselves a new centre-forward by the end of the day.
