A section of Newcastle United fans have been drooling over goalkeeper Martin Dubravka after a stunning performance a pre-season friendly against Braga on Wednesday
Dubravka, 29, made a tremendous double save to prevent the Portuguese club from taking the lead in the 19th minute to continue his superb run of form while playing for the Magpies.

The Slovakia international was signed by the Toon in January on loan, but his deal was made permanent earlier this summer after a series of solid Premier League performances.
And it seems that some Newcastle fans are continuing to be impressed by Dubravka, with one claiming that the shot-stopper is “world class”.

OPINION
Dubravka was very good for Newcastle last season and he has continued his form into the pre-season, which is a great sign for the St James’ Park faithful, who appear to have found a new cult hero. For £4million, Rafa Benitez has absolutely robbed Sparta Prague for what is starting to seem like one of the best shot-stoppers outside the top six or seven Premier League teams. The Toon Army should be wary though, as this continued form could see him start to attract attention from elsewhere. But for now, they can keep on enjoying the Slovak’s imposing performances in goal.
