A section of Manchester City fans have been left gutted on Twitter after it was reported that Kevin De Bruyne is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines with a serious injury.
Reliable Man City website City Watch has reported that De Bruyne suffered a knee injury in training on Wednesday that is similar to the torn knee ligament he endured in January 2016.
It is understood that he could be set for a two-month spell on the sidelines, and some City supporters fans have been left crushed in the wake of the news, with one saying that he is “almost crying”.

OPINION
This is a crushing blow for Manchester City. De Bruyne is such a huge part of how they play and is arguably one of the best players in the Premier League. Pep Guardiola has got him in the past form of his career and for him to suffer this serious injury is seriously bad news for him and the club’s fans. The Belgium international only featured as a substitute against Arsenal as the reigning Premier League champions breezed to victory and even though that proved they can see of top-six sides without him, you can understand why the fans are so concerned. It’s bad news and even has one supporter close to tears but Guardiola has a wealth of options at his disposal in his midfield and hopefully this means we can see more of Phil Foden. The English wonderkid could be the next big thing so it could be a blessing in disguise for his career.
