A section of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to urge the club to sign Peterborough attacker Marcus Maddison.
The 24-year-old ace was in stunning form at London Road last season, scoring 12 goals and supplying 23 assists in 53 appearances across all competitions.
Football Insider has previously reported that the Whites are in “hot pursuit” of Maddison, with Marcelo Bielsa happy to sign the Peterborough assist king after he was transfer listed due to an agreement that he could leave London Road if the club failed to earn promotion.
And some Leeds fans have continued to call on the club to sign the former Gateshead star with the start of the 2018/19 Championship season now just days away.

If Vieira does end up going to Sampdoria and we use this money to get Marcus Maddison + a defender (Taras Romanczuk maybe?), I could live with that. #LUFC

OPINION
After being involved in 35 goals in all competitions last season, it’s no shock that Leeds fans are dying for the club to sign Maddison before the transfer deadline next week. Leeds have finally started to make some signings and adding Maddison would be a nice way to round off the summer for the Yorkshire giants. As one fan pointed out, Maddison is an ‘assist king’ and if he is able to continue his form into the Championship, then he is bound to be in the running for the player of the season award. As he is reportedly transfer listed, it may not cost a lot to agree a deal either.
