Many Swansea City fans took to social media in order to slam midfielder Tom Carroll for his display against Bristol City on Saturday.
The Swans’ unbeaten start to the season came to an end courtesy of The Robins as Andreas Weimann scored in the opening minute of the game to see his side eventually win the match 1-0.
While there were several disappointing performances by Swans players, lots of supporters opted to save the majority of their criticism for Carroll.
One fan tweeted that they were better than the 26-year-old central midfielder while another claimed that Carroll had submitted yet another gutless performance and was failing to dominate in the Championship like some people predicted.

Another gutless performance from Tom Carroll. People said he'll dominate at this level. Well I'm yet to see it. The man has been stealing a living.

A sobering watch today for my beloved Swans. Can’t fault our players (except Tom Carroll, worst display from a player I’ve seen in a long time) the board need to stop exposing our youngsters and get some players in quick before we continue the slide down again

OPINION
Another display by Swansea City where Carroll noticeably struggles to handle playing in England’s second-tier. It’s hard to believe that the 26-year-old previously played 94 times in the Premier League as he looks way off being good enough for the Championship let alone the nation’s top division. Carroll who stands at 5ft 8in tall (Source: Transfermarkt) really needs to up his game or supporters are going to continue to be miffed at him regularly featuring for their side as he is clearly the weak link at the moment. Though some Swans fans based on their reactions to his latest display may not be keen to give him anymore chance as at least two supporters were hilariously planning him a trip away from the club. It’s hard to see how Carroll is going to turn his form around at the moment as it’s hard to find a positive in his displays but for his sake, he better find a way.
