The 24-year-old was reported to be leaving on a season-long loan.

OPINION
The 24-year-old striker has had a torrid time since his £500k move for Chievo Verona last summer. Two goals in 21 games for Leeds and plenty of criticism from the fans has left him short of confidence. He’s now set to try to rebuild that in one of the most intimidating environments in world football. Turkish fans are well known for giving players short shrift if they don’t live up to expectations and Ekuban will be desperate to get off to a fast start for his new club. They’re obviously expecting big things from him and are parading him on their YouTube channel so he’s not going to be able to hide away. We wish him all the luck in the world. Leeds fans will be very curious as to how this plays out as well, as the club seem to hold the feeling that he could still come good at Elland Road. He’s heading out on a season-long loan with three years left on his contract. We’d be surprised if he makes a successful return but you never know – as they say, football’s a funny old game.
