Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce must make five changes for his side’s Carabao Cup clash against Yeovil on Tuesday night to ensure his side’s safe passage to the next round.

Andre Moreira, Albert Adomah, Conor Hourihane and Rushian Hepburn Murphy must all start for the trip to the League Two side if Villa want to progress into the second round.

Orjan Hyland, John McGinn and Jack Grealish and Ahmed Elmohamady must all be rested with an important away league fixture in mind against Ipswich on Saturday.

An element of youth mixed with experience should see the Villans prevail against a club two divisions below them in the football league.

Moreira could make his first competitive start for Villa after his summer loan move from Atletico Madrid and the young goalkeeper should be given the nod to gain much-needed experience.

James Chester and Mile Jedinak need to be kept in the first team to add experience with Bruce expected to make a number of changes in midfield.

Andre Moreira should start in goal behind a back-four of Axel Tuanzebe, James Chester, Mile Jedinak and Neil Taylor.

Bjarnason should be maintained in the middle alongside Conor Hourihane, who sat on the bench for Villa’s league win over Wigan.

Villa’s strength in depth has been highlighted with Andre Green and Albert Adomah on the wings with Rushian Hepburn-Murphy getting a much-needed start alongside striking partner Jonathan Kodja.

The Villans will be high on confidence after a strong league start, but with this line-up, Bruce can experience the future prospects for the club as well as supporting them with experienced players alongside them in what should be a comfortable win.
