A section of Aston Villa fans have torn into Albert Adomah his performance in the 1-0 Carabao Cup win against Yeovil Town at Huish Park on Tuesday night.
Adomah, 30, has not been in great form for the Villains lately, and had to make do with a spot on the bench for the 3-2 win over Wigan at the weekend.
And it appears that Steve Bruce’s decision to axe him from his starting line-up for that game was fully justified with the attacker failing to impress some Villa fans on social media – even though he was playing against a League Two side.

If we sell Bjarnasson and keep Whelan I won’t know what to do with myself. Adomah is a passenger again as per #avfc

OPINION
It’s easy to see why Aston Villa fans are so frustrated with Adomah. Last season he was unplayable at times. He ended the campaign with 15 goals and seven assists in 44 appearances across all competitions, however his performances in the final few months started to drop and he was more or less non-existent in their play-off fixtures. It seems as though his form is continuing to drop and the 30-year-old looks to be showing the early stages of a decline. Villa still have the chance to bolster their attacking force before the end of the month by making use of the loan market or snapping up free agents. Surely there is no way that Bruce can keep putting his trust in Adomah for the rest of the season? If he is going to fail to perform against Yeovil, then he has no chance in what is promising to be one of the most competitive Championship seasons in a long time.
