Tottenham are set to continue offering new contracts to senior players after announcing deals for Heung-min Son and Erik Lamela on Friday, according to the Telegraph.

The newspaper claims via their website that the quartet of Hugo Lloris, Jan Vertonghen, Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen are expected to put pen to paper on new agreements that total up to over £400,000-a-week combined.

It is understood that each of them are set to be offered deals in excess of £100,000-a-week, with Lloris and Alli’s deals set be sorted in the coming months.

Good move for Tottenham?

Daniel Levy is eager to not have a repeat of what is happening with the likes of Toby Alderweireld and Mousa Dembele with players in the final year of their contracts and facing the likelihood of leaving North London on a cut-price deal.

It also appears that Levy has listened to criticism from fans, the media and even his own players like Danny Rose by offering his star players deals that befit their quality.

It is going to be a massive boost once all of these players are one big-money deals that do not expire for several years, and fans should be over the moon about it.

Likely to happen?

There has been constant reports about players like Eriksen getting a new deal for quite some while now but nothing is yet to materialise.

However after a stunning season with Spurs and helping Denmark reach the World Cup last-16, there’s little doubt that he and his team-mates will eventually commit their futures to the club.
