A section of Tottenham fans were left blown away by the performance of Lucas Moura in the club’s 4-1 pre-season friendly win against Roma atĀ the SDCCU Stadium in San Diego.
Lucas, 25, scored twice in the first-half as the North London club swept aside the 2017/18 Champions League semi-finalists, while Fernando Llorente also bagged himself a brace in a convincing win.
The Brazilian attacker was signed by Spurs from Paris Saint-Germain in January, but was rarely-seen by fans between then and the end of last season as he made just 11 appearances in all competitions, with just five of them being starts.
However some Tottenham fans were very impressed with what the 25-year-old had to offer against Roma, with one claiming he is going to be “dynamite” in the upcoming season.
This is FutbolĀ has rounded up some of the best tweets:
Fantastic to see Moura already taking the first opportunity open to him to shine during this pre-season.
Have no doubt we are going to see the best of him in this season coming in, we already saw glimpses of his potential at the back end of last season, going to be a big player!

OPINION
Lucas was certainly impressive and these Spurs fans have every right to be excited about his performance against Roma. It’s hard not to get carried away with displays like this. It was a pre-season friendly, and even Llorente scored twice, but Lucas showed the quality that everyone knows he has, but is yet to showcase in North London. Will Mauricio Pochettino play him more next season? He might. However Erik Lamela’s new contract and his role in the first team last season suggests that he may be above him in the pecking order still. New signings could also make a change, it Daniel Levy ever gets around to making any. Either way, all the signs are good regarding Lucas.
