Sky Sports transfer expert Jim White has claimed that Rangers have now tabled four bids for Jake Cooper, but Millwall fans won’t entertain the idea of him going for any less than £5million.
Cooper has been on the radar of Rangers for a while, with Sky Sports reporting that the London club had rejected an offer of £3million for him already.
However, according to White, Rangers aren’t ready to take no for an answer and have come back with more bids, with four in total.
Source tells me @RangersFC have made 4 bids for @MillwallFC defender Jake Cooper – London club standing firm that he’s not for sale.

It seems obvious that Millwall fans don’t want to sell yet and one fan said that would be ready for the Premier League and worth a lot more money next summer.
Here are the best reactions from Millwall fans:
Held to ransom?
The boys happy where he is,never asked for a move but, we have no desire to sell, certainly not on the cheap anyway?
I’m sure we’d have to pay Reading a sell on percentage anyway so it would have to be a large BID for us to even consider selling?— matmillwall (@matmillwall) July 17, 2018
i’m not saying he’s worth £8mill, but he is worth more to us than the £3mill you are bidding

Bids need to be over £5m ?

Honestly from last season Cooper and Hutchinson were like brick walls the amount of blocks they made, they saved our keeper big time. he is 23 and has played for England U18 U19 and U20 he is one hell of a player. But at the moment he is our player, hopefully we can keep him

I’d be amazed if we thought about selling him before Rangers come in. He’s obviously good enough for the Championship now but another solid season here and he’ll be ready for the Premier League. Needs to stay and we need to hold off until we make at least £5m after Reading’s %

OPINION
Most Millwall fans were prepared to have a pretty decent debate about Cooper, who they obviously rate highly, but one fan pulled out the insult that Rangers fans are used to fending off from Celtic. He asked where Rangers were getting the money from and that he thought they were broke. Another fan said that he might have had his head turned by Steven Gerrard but would regret it if he moved. At the moment, and unless Rangers are offering significantly more money, that seems unlikely.
