A section of Celtic fans have been reacting on Twitter after it was confirmed that defender Fabio Cardoso has had his contract terminated by Rangers.
The Gers announced via their official website that Cardoso, 24, has agreed to mutually terminate his deal at Ibrox, just over 12 months into a three-year contract that he signed last summer when Pedro Caixinha snapped him up from Vitoria.
The Portuguese centre-back made 18 appearances in all competitions for the Light Blues having dropped well down the pecking order under the management of Graeme Murty.
And some Celtic fans have been reacting to the news coming from their bitter Old Firm rivals, with one calling Cardoso an “absolute charlatan”.

OPINION
It seemed at times that the Rangers fans wanted to see more of Cardoso, and it is a bit of a shock to see him leave on a free even though he cost the club £1.3million last year. He was another one to arrive who would be talking up about how the Gers can close up the gap to Celtic but ultimately failed to come close to it. The defender is now being made to eat them words with him time in Scotland proving to be a massive flop and he deserves the stick he is getting from the Parkhead faithful.
