A section of Rangers fans have been reacting on Twitter after two Celtic stars were involved in a car crash on Wednesday.

The Scottish Sun has reported that Olivier Ntcham and Odsonne Eduouard were involved in a collision with another vehicle in Cumbernauld, leaving another man hospitalised.

Celtic forward Moussa Dembele was also on the scene of the two-car smash, but was in his own car, and it is understood that Ntcham will be reported to the procurator fiscal.

Some Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to mock the Celtic players for being involved in the incident with one claiming that it’s “absolutely shocking stuff”.

According to STV, police are appealing for witnesses who saw the incident and the man who has been taken to hospital is not thought to be in a serious condition.

OPINION

It seems that none of the Celtic players involved were harmed, which is a relief, but Ntcham will still have some worrying to do about being reported for the crash. Brendan Rodgers probably will not have anything to say about it either other than just to make sure they’re ok. Some Rangers fans will be coming out with all sorts of accusations and theories, but all that matters is no one suffered any serious injuries. Ntcham, Edouard and most likely Dembele will probably see the man who was hospitalised to see how he is as well. That could be a nice touch of class from the Parkhead boys if they were to do that.
