West Ham have been busy bolstering up their attacking options this summer after the signing of Andriy Yarmolenko was confirmed by the club via their official Twitter account – but that must only be the beginning for the Irons.

With Manuel Lanzini set to be sidelined for the entirety of next season with injury, Hammers’ boss Manuel Pellegrini must consider more attacking talent to enhance his team’s threat going forward.

Step forward Alizera Jahanbakhsh, an little-known Iranian winger who plays for Eredivisie outfit AZ Alkmaar and starred for his country in this summer’s World Cup.

Leicester City have been reported by Vana News has having lined up a medical for the forward – nevertheless, there is still time for West Ham to snap him up for themselves, and they must hijack their Premier League rivals’ swoop for Jahanbakhsh.

The Iran international has been in sensational form for the Dutch club during the 2017/2018 campaign, netting an impressive 22 goals in 39 appearances, as well as laying on 14 assists – an outstanding statistic for a player who operates largely as a right winger.

His potential addition would improve Pellegrini’s wide attacking options greatly, and he would no doubt be adding extra quality to his squad with the Iranian on board.

He is an extremely versatile player, operating mainly as a winger, but he is also being capable of switching to the front-line if necessary and playing as a secondary striker.

As demonstrated in Iran’s short stay at the World Cup, Jahanbakhsh has a lot of pace and can frighten opponents’ defences with this blistering speed.

Jahanbakhsh’s combination with new signing Yarmolenko and the incoming Felipe Anderson would certainly be a lethal mix – and the Hammers must make this happen by hijacking Leicester’s attempts to bring the attacker to the King Power Stadium.
