Many of the Hammers faithful were less than impressed with the sort of price being reported, with some believing that he was worth far more than the £15million – and they took to Twitter to express their views.

Add ten million to that. @WestHamUtd @CPFC

Why would we even be looking at selling Antonio, he has had a few injuries which have held him back last season. Year before that he was in our top 3 best players. He’s been played all over the park and never moaned. Big shame if we let him go IMO

Is that for 1 leg?

Double it

Why do we constantly sell our players for peanuts? Antonio worth way more than £15m in today’s market, so is Kouyate

Opinion
Judging from the West Ham faithful’s reaction to a possible bid for Antonio, they certainly seem to think he is worth more than the £15million being touted – even worth double if some supporters are to be believed. The utility man, who is a winger, midfielder and forward all wrapped up in one, is a decent performer in the Premier League, but injuries have let him down over the years, and it could be the reason the Irons are willing to let him go. Still, it remains to be seen whether Palace even make an offer, and if they do, if it is to the Hammers’ liking. A lot to go on this one, but fans are not best pleased right now.
