While the rest of the Premier League are splashing their cash around and making new signings, fans at Tottenham are having to sit tight and watch on as their team continue to go without any fresh faces in the first team squad.

The Lilywhites have been linked with a lot of names over the past couple of months, with Mauricio Pochettino no doubt hoping that he can find some quality captures that can strengthen the squad, but as of yet the supporters have been disappointed.

There will be a new signing or two, that much is sure, but it is about finding the right player for the right price before diving into negotiations and sealing a deal.

One man who has been heavily linked to north London is Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish, the English maestro looking to step back into the Premier League from the midlands outfit.

However, after months of seeming like the only club in for his capture, the Mirror have claimed London rivals Crystal Palace and Fulham have both made contact over a swoop, but that Spurs are still leading the charge of this triple hunt.

As a result, Daniel Levy and Pochettino need to pull their fingers out and get a deal done, or face risking a bidding war which will only see his price rise to a figure where only one club can pay – and that club is likely to be Tottenham.

The top brass need to kill those hopes of a rival transfer battle, which Aston Villa will no doubt be holding out for, by making the Villans an offer they cannot refuse – or risk missing out on Grealish altogether.
