Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino admitted that his side might not make any transfers this summer, and fans are not happy.
Talking on Monday, Pochettino said: “I don’t know if we are going to sign or not. I cannot tell you if we’re going to sign one zero, two, three or four.”
It’s a very worrying statement, with Tottenham currently the only Premier League side along with Burnley not to have bought any players yet.
And fans are obviously not happy. A couple of Spurs fans have said that Pochettino will leave the club soon after making threatening noises at the end of last season about investment in the side.
Another fan said it has always been about profit for Daniel Levy and that a new stadium, not trophies, is what will make the biggest amount of money.
It’s a worrying start to the new season, with Tottenham due to play Newcastle away next Saturday in their first game of the Premier League.
There’s still time to get new deals over the line, but Tottenham fans don’t hold out much hope – here are the best reactions from angry fans:

You don’t secure a profit by winning trophies, but a new stadium is worth millions when ENIC & Levy finally sell up. It’s always been about profit. Success for them is only money. Trophies a by product.

I don’t see us getting anyone in but I feel it’s likely we will sell and sell a player/players key to previous years success? With the perception and arguably fact that our rivals have strengthened doing this or staying as we are leaves us vulnerable at best top 4 always tough

If true this shows an amazing lack of ambition

OPINION
It’s always tough when you move into a new stadium. Arsenal put transfers on hold when they moved into the Emirates and suffered massively, dropping out of the top four. Tottenham fans will have a fantastic new home to go to this season, but at what expense? Pochettino is obviously not 100% happy about the situation but there is still time to bring players in and he hasn’t completely ruled out any transfers yet. Tottenham fans know what Levy is like though and they’re not very hopeful.
