Tottenham Hotspur fans have delivered mainly positive reactions following midfielder Dele Alli’s performance for England yesterday afternoon (7 July).
The 22-year-old starred in England’s 2-0 quarter-final victory over Sweden yesterday, netting a header in the second half following a threatening cross from Jesse Lingard.
The 6’3″ (source: Transfermarkt) midfielder had previously had injury doubts after missing the game against Belgium, but stepped up to head in a vital goal.

OPINION
Dele Alli’s performance for England yesterday has certainly gone down well with the Spurs’ faithful. They were glad to see him get his goal after some of the criticism he has had, and has proved what a goal scoring threat he actually is with his superb header. He may not be at his best after recovering from a thigh injury, but is certainly an intergral member of the England team. Alli definitely has the capabilities to score more goals at this World Cup, and Spurs’ fans know he can perform for England just like he does for his club week in, week out. The supporters will definitely be keeping their fingers crossed that one of their star assets can improve in the semi-finals and replicate that form in the Premier League.
