Manchester United have tabled an £11.5million (€13million) bid to try and prise attacking midfielder Yusuf Yazici away from Trabzonspor this summer, according to Haberturk.
The Turkish publication claim on their website that the Red Devils offered the eight-figure fee for the nine cap Turkey international, but that the Super Lig side turned the proposal down.
Yazici, 21, was in fine form last season, netting 10 goals as well as setting up five assists for his team mates in his 35 appearances across all competitions, and his performances are said to have attracted the attention of Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven as well as Jose Mourinho’s men.
Good move for Manchester United?
Yazici certainly seems a talented youngster, with regular game time for both club and country, and it seems as though United are looking to secure his future at Old Trafford with a healthy, but not over the top, bid.
However, with it being turned down, it seems as though the Turkish side are keen on keeping their man where he is – or at least holding out for more money.
There is no guarantee that the youngster can cut it in the Premier League and while Mourinho’s men have the ability to splash the cash, they should not be going overboard to secure his capture.
He will likely not be a first team regular, and the Portuguese boss should only be looking for players who will make a marked difference to his side.

If United really want him, then yes, he will be on his way.
The report says Yazici is happy to stay at his club but a move to Old Trafford is tempting even for the biggest of stars, and money talks to both players and the selling clubs.
With a bid reportedly being made, it seems the Red Devils are indeed keen, and another improved offer would signal their real intent to snap him up.
At the moment, it is a bit up in the air.
