Valencia have made a permanent offer for Everton striker Henry Onyekuru, according to Sporx.

The Turkish outlet report that the Spanish club have made a transfer bid for the Toffees striker and offered the Nigerian a five-year deal.

The 21-year-old, who currently earns £31,000-per-week on his Everton contract (Spotrac), has only recently sealed a season-long loan deal with Turkish side Galatasaray until the end of the 2018/19 season.

The former KAS Eupan striker scored 10 goals in 28 appearances on loan at Belgium side Anderlecht last season.

OPINION

The Nigerian striker is a huge talent who has what it takes to succeed at Everton, he’s got pace, power and brilliant finish ability. He can play on either wing or as a direct central striker, making him a very flexible option for any team. However, work permit issues mean that he has had to be loaned out over the last few seasons in order to secure the ability to play football in the UK. It will be interesting to see how close Onyekuru is to getting this work permit, if it is still quite far off, they could be tempted to cash in on the striker if Valencia’s bid matches their valuation. It would be a massive gamble if they were to sell at this stage, as there’s no way of knowing how good the 21-year-old can become, it’s going to be a very difficult decision for Toffees boss Marco Silva and transfer guru Marcel Brands this summer.
