Chelsea fans got their first view of their side under new manager Maurizio Sarri in a pre-season friendly against Perth Glory.

Chelsea enjoyed a fast start, scoring after five minutes through Pedro, but a large section of fans were unhappy with striker Alvaro Morata.

He had a number of chances to increase the Chelsea lead but was caught offside a number of times.

And many Chelsea fans are not happy that they might have to start the Premier League season with him up top.

Here are the best reactions to his first-half display in Australia, with the score still at 1-0:

OPINION

Morata has largely disappointed since his huge £60million move from Real Madrid last summer. He showed in flashes what he’s capable of but 15 goals in 48 games is not enough for a player of his calibre. It looks like he’s started off this season where he left off last too, with a listless display in Australia that has left a load of Chelsea fans fuming. One said they needed a new stiker “ASAP”, while another said the fact he was struggling against a side like Perth Glory said it all. Chelsea have been linked with a possible move for Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain, and more Chelsea fans are hoping that has some substance today.
