Some Arsenal fans have been reacting with joy on social media after the club confirmed the arrival of Lucas Torreira.
The Gunners confirmed their new signing on the club’s official Twitter account.

The 22-year-old technical midfield player made 74 appearances for the Italian club in his time in Serie A, scoring four goals and providing four assists (TransferMarkt).
The Uruguayan has just returned from the 2018 World Cup in Russia, after being involved in the quarter-final loss to France.
One Arsenal fan said that he’s excited for next season now Torreira has arrived.

OPINION
The Uruguayan midfielder is just what Arsenal need ahead of next season. Although the 22-year-old is gifted technically and is talented on the ball, off the ball he’s tenacious and wants to win the ball back as quickly as possible. He’ll add both steel and quality to The Gunners midfield, in what is a new era for the club. The signings that new boss Unai Emery’s made have been refreshing and represent a massive change from the previous regime, which can only be a good thing. Expect Arsenal to be challenging for a title this season, for the first time in a long time.
