Marco Silva needs to resist any offer for Ademola Lookman, he’s Everton’s star of the future.

As reported by the Daily Mirror, Everton have turned down an offer from RB Leipzig for winger Ademola Lookman. The outlet have reported that a £12million bid from the German side has been rejected, the report also claims that Everton tried to hold talks with the 20-year-old last week, with the club keen to keep the winger at the club.

However, it is understood that Lookman is ready to leave Goodison Park and is keen on a move to Germany with RB Leipzig.

The talented speedster was in sensational form in his short spell on-loan in the Bundesliga with Leipzig last season, scoring five goals and providing four assists in just 11 appearances (TransferMarkt).

It would be a terrible move on Everton’s part if they were to accept any bids for Lookman. He is one of the most promising youngsters in the country and should be given a chance in the first-team this season under Marco Silva. He’s the future of Everton.

Selling him is the last thing they should do, especially not for such a small fee, he could be worth quadruple that amount in a few years if he turns out half as good as what’s expected from him. Unfortunately, it looks like Lookman’s experience of Everton has been spoiled somewhat by previous manager Sam Allardyce’s management of the 20-year-old.

If the ex-Charlton winger wants to leave the club then that’s his choice, because he did get a lot more football in Germany which is most likely the reason he wants to go abroad.

However, Silva should reject any offer that they receive for Lookman. They need to sit him down and convince him that he will get opportunities in the Toffees first-team. Otherwise, they risk losing their most promising young player since Wayne Rooney.
